Certification: AS 9100 since 2006

The Challenge

AXISCADES is India’s leading product engineering solutions company catering to the futuristic needs of aerospace, defence, heavy engineering, automotive, energy, medical and healthcare sectors. With a view to expanding its aerospace vertical globally, the company realized that listing on the global database made all the difference. Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) is the web-based information portal of International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) containing information on certified suppliers and their audits, accredited certification bodies, AQMS auditors, accreditation bodies, participating National Aerospace Industry Associations (NAIAs) etc. It catalogues aerospace suppliers who are certified under the IAQG rules to be in conformance with the aerospace quality management system requirements. It was a business imperative to be listed on this database and for this, certifications were mandatory.

Certification journey and business impact

NVT QC began the journey by partnering the client in understanding the requirements of AS 9100 standard. Opportunities for improvements were identified via the rigorous NVT QC audit methodology. This helped AXISCADES to address customer requirements and demonstrate its commitment to quality. Achieving AS 9100 certification was a milestone that built client confidence and positioned AXISCADES on the global map via a listing on the OASIS database. This unlocks global opportunities with foreign clients including OEMs even as it enhances the corporate brand and its reputation.
